FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization
9 `8 C$ Y/ d* O, i Vwhose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media & t9 H/ {9 ~) R- y0 g
artists from Northern Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

. ]2 X* Q9 Q8 E3 qDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by

: V1 w+ k% ^- P b/ V @- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities

- Assist with production logistics for programming events , N# f- ^! a1 }/ ?+ x+ r
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 0 _: E5 c& [' A, h
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Advance organizational and research skills

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
