Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
' a$ W( ?: _, I+ | (ages 6 to 15)

- Recruit volunteers for summer programs* v0 b! K7 p" @/ u- F
- Record keeping1 K. O. m: O. {8 c: Y7 y7 E
- Provide orientation for parents$ T7 G k2 \6 G. p! W% |, Q
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency/ X7 `9 y k+ ?
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager5 M- m s6 L8 S- I5 \8 Q( Q

Qualifications:6 A- `. j- ]; ]9 S8 i
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education* d2 \( m G6 K, d7 L( U0 H
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children3 j9 x" u& n0 }
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
4 O7 y" u! k* R8 u6 Z0 ~- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities: V' K0 \2 s4 p B1 Z
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
9 x* F, g: _. }8 ]- S @- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities. G7 e) W% F4 k' m& K# ]
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)
/ A( ?( M5 ^$ k/ h; y% ], p and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)$ k3 j. X% Z, d# y
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
