* r% P$ W' `2 ]1 a* `" X-        Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
5 E$ P; s8 j) q: @* q9 Y       (ages 6 to 15)
, d0 l+ N& A  Q" C+ j5 W$ h3 b* Q-        Recruit children for summer programs
-        Recruit volunteers for summer programs
1 g3 k1 y. `! p& Z-        Record keeping
-        Provide orientation for parents
7 h. ?. Y% ?, B- `$ m-        Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
1 ?5 N3 q% z# o9 k-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

) |1 v* w1 q/ GQualifications:
# U3 {7 y0 Y& U7 c( Z-        Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
' i& c# _5 L( ^8 P- [5 i3 O-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
6 [) o" i) e+ P& `- ]' V5 |-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
' f8 T! q/ H# }# M0 D% |-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
4 K3 V8 }2 w' ~5 t6 m  R' u* ]-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
, c( B( v) G$ m2 O& _-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Returning student (should return to school after summer)
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
& N! x1 T2 g. }0 }* @-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)   
        and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
$ |/ E( K( P# l; {0 w; c6 ?  ^; N-        Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
