Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009/ W9 T) d2 g. H. P

Responsibilities:
* K1 w# C7 _2 J9 r' U1 h- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program 9 n. F7 O: J( a4 ^% C6 H- C
(ages 6 to 15)
- t& I) e( z% C# r; Q! C8 S/ n- Recruit children for summer programs
- _7 R4 q9 ~- k- Recruit volunteers for summer programs7 M7 x2 e9 e e8 g6 @, @# D( S
- Record keeping
8 T+ v- j7 j% M1 w0 @- Provide orientation for parents
. E5 m. Y$ N0 s1 C8 k6 Z* D1 B- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency+ B! ^6 @) U! F6 z& c
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager- v; } A; A8 ?4 u% `

Qualifications:
6 h# T6 N6 s- S/ Q% [" Z- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
; ~$ V1 h* P9 f& \# D- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children; I& X! ?% U6 q2 @5 r U- k
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills W1 s- X {6 r! g' R
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
2 R! `/ C' F4 @% C% h- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
* X# g X3 t/ w- i/ M1 D# L- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities2 r' d4 ~% g' b7 N! V
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision1 c9 l( P! V$ J- K' H7 {/ a
- Returning student (should return to school after summer)0 l7 y) V) n6 Y+ d4 U$ T9 Q9 C
- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

6 C& @1 ~& f6 k0 t, |8 q6 e9 c) g- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) ( v. F2 U! ?- H; @7 Y
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
