Duties) `3 \; A2 w: t
1 e( d, N4 @( Q
* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
& ~) m6 ]7 b9 b+ k( U' ^. I+ `; k0 U * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
6 u& M5 Y* _# q3 Y * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance ]4 {4 \5 W% N3 T6 u
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
, X$ m! c9 [2 @4 |% N: ^ u * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required
