* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications8 w4 q% w7 x% E* Y; C$ P5 S
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
8 ~4 U) r2 R7 h z) f- e * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance7 | J1 s g, J4 R8 d& |8 v1 z
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
1 G1 y% l y/ ?0 f+ l * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications
