6 @" L+ R' ?& |% ^: X0 ]7 M5 R * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications6 o* t; x9 [# m* `" B
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis6 _! i# m8 m* x" F
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
" V5 y: Q3 ^6 x, |3 w6 O% [( U$ K * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students $ ~* z1 i2 w8 b7 S/ d
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment
