2 Q6 _9 o1 S- D/ v * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications. h+ H# k) J4 ]3 H' J9 ?: P4 `
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis j. J! \' F7 b! ]& c/ q9 h
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance! h8 z9 n5 M* F' X, C; L
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students * t4 y N) r8 S8 P" W
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment
