) _3 O, \. q% f7 [) l * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications

* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
6 y& U9 X" a" Q2 M, }' u3 Q * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students ' ^& c6 g6 L. I- d9 t* |( @
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies3 L; S: v P& k ~' ]( y
* Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
