* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications( }- d( S# V Q* @, k
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis* r9 w! w" w; T* x, e
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance$ h+ w I8 S- u
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students 6 K6 y( `2 T! `+ v2 G* N9 W
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
