This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and

# z2 a8 K; K7 \ d* Q" O# v• Standard Child Care First Aid

. l: n2 e3 n& d4 h' z- Z• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care3 x, r# a9 `5 x. @: z3 I
• Components to improve communication skills
# C5 ^3 i; s2 E• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search
# G+ s4 x6 M5 |/ n9 [1 _ Y• Practicum Placements2 b4 b! \) r7 o/ e+ ^
Eligibility Criteria
* L5 j* t9 [8 X' Y• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen" O S1 t3 E8 p( R! K
of Canada
5 {& ?$ s8 z* X; O1 p• have a Social Insurance Number
+ n: @% o7 `4 _• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check, N' P* w& w( K
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
+ Y. g! @0 G+ E5 A& _• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time8 a e" @: T3 f
program
9 y6 e; p, ^: ~- ]: Y: F" u5 yParticipants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet* J& W$ {7 i: k5 U" F4 w- `
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
4 p9 Y H- r9 R( S9 ]• be unemployed or underemployed.
0 m$ T- |- j. s& y9 \% y/ fThey CANNOT quit their job to take the course
