Business Analyst (.Net Application Development)

As a Business Analyst, you will analyze business requirements, conduct impact analyses, and perform design, development, support and documentation activities in a dynamic and multi-application environment. Working under a Team Lead, you will help to develop a long term plan to replace our client's legacy applications. ; }: n( ?7 c# G$ _5 A7 O) `" U
As part of this endeavour, you will be responsible for performing the following type of activities:
" z! m5 L" K$ P0 R$ lConvert business requirements into design specifications and prepare specifications for user sign-off.
: q6 r* J( ?2 s& _ ~2 oCreate process and data models to visually represent requirements information. 8 t& D5 w J4 x# K5 R
Perform system testing with internal and external clients. Provide support during various phases of testing. # H# V% b/ Z& P. C# f5 ~
Assist with the resolution of code deficiencies found during the assembly test and system test phase. 1 R# r3 q+ r0 \* ?& S
Support, maintain and upgrade application after it moves into production.
* y) n, z* j1 q; C ~8 |Analyze current technical and business objectives, plans, processes, information flows, and systems.
; c" u; U2 ^* V6 I' w0 ~/ Q5 kAssist in the identification, assessment and resolution of application problems and recommend modifications.
5 H. c6 p* y3 s2 {# H5 MSummarize and present key findings with recommendations for improvement. $ ~% P! C m" C/ _
Responsible for working with Project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables. K( e' Q+ U4 a C
Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, experience with legacy applications would be an asset( _% p9 L1 e: I/ i2 n
• A university degree in Computer Science, Commerce (MIS), or similar discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.7 _, g% \2 ~8 x7 O) P- H
• Experience with Web Applications, VB.net, C# and/or .NET technologies an asset.
+ ?4 r# L* k5 b7 Y- _ K! M+ m• Understanding of Object Oriented design principles and the .Net Framework.
