% N2 ]5 m( E# y7 k9 A y7 { 1. All Albertans are responsible to pay premiums unless they qualify for premium assistance, government-sponsored income support programs, or are senior citizens.
* f4 w( P1 d5 c, @ C2 i! y" g8 _ 2. Employers and benefit administrators who register and pay premiums on behalf of their employees will continue to do so.
* h2 j! {. q% r; |" S 3. Alberta Health and Wellness will continue to pursue collections from those who fail to pay premiums.
; B1 F2 l+ b& h 4. Contributors to Alberta Blue Cross or other supplementary insurance plans that provide prescription drug, dental, and other extended coverage, will still pay those premiums, as they have not been eliminated.
