Job Description
Position: Youth Services Manager
Full time position (35 hours each week)

•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
7 ~: S' f3 B. ], R2 O2 u1 X•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
8 }( M( A% h2 l2 t•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
) i/ }$ n4 d$ J, l: X$ ]* u•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
: ?+ R/ S0 a! Y% q  n•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
. w9 r" t; Z1 z5 x•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
1 F5 p5 o: b# m/ c4 P•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

Qualifications
•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
2 s0 Q, h% ]" a  B' z& V•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
. I& c* Q$ E- ~/ d& S& S" H+ s•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

•        requires police security check at the expense of employee and child welfare check
