枪击案发生的真正原因仍在调查之中，但是警察相信这起事件不是无目的的枪击案，它很可能与黑帮有关。

几乎在与上一枪击案发生的同时，一位男性遇刺身亡，而其他几位则被警察拘捕。据爱民屯警察新闻发布会透露，事情起因于两个帮派在后院小道上的争吵。

No suspects have been identified and no one is in custody.

, X7 s" O, f6 e2 x! qMeanwhile, one male is dead and another is in police custody after an altercation between two groups in an alley early Sunday morning, according to an EPS press release.

6 h3 O9 v" z; w; x/ IAt approximately 2:45 a.m. MT, officers spotted a vehicle being driven the wrong way on Gateway Boulevard near Whyte Avenue.

Upon stopping the car, the officers learned that one of the passengers, a 24-year-old male, was seriously injured.

% i" D$ C$ m9 c+ Y5 OHe was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries.

* P% Q0 V5 Y4 }& F. U* H4 FA police investigation revealed that the three male occupants of the vehicle had been involved in a physical altercation with two other males and a female near an alley south of Whyte Avenue, between Gateway Boulevard and Calgary Trail, which resulted in one male being stabbed.

; D3 t" r5 [& Q- Z& _8 b' i. oThe three suspects were located by police immediately following the vehicle stop. A 32-year-old male is in custody and charges are pending.
