Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to:        National Sales Manager

6 j! T+ r. J4 YMajor Responsibilities:
' }- Z% L9 @4 N) e5 _•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
3 Q( l2 R2 R! Z* ^* r$ l( m; n•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.# e" v4 A" h  \6 _" V
•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  . U6 W# l, H9 F( C6 o
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.+ C! z0 V7 ^  l& l. z
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.2 }2 r$ d2 {# Y5 \# S$ I
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.; v& C' J3 _+ Q" B
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
, ]% N& u/ p' B1 E  Z6 a•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.1 B% ]3 Q& X' `2 b' z$ u' Z0 A
•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.4 q  |2 D& Z7 }* _  ^
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
4 O* l" ^5 [- r0 T- [- Z6 ^•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy., ~3 l& }* q" `/ F5 @
•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.+ u) e1 O  Z& ]3 |
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
, a8 t, }) b6 J•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
5 e  C+ M  n4 u( a1 S9 r•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. + E- J+ a( P1 _$ O0 n3 e
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude.   M. s4 Q. ^& v/ g; f9 }
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
& ^8 G4 O* q! \. V& k2 m* r4 e•        Not scared of heights
% o% G7 K; a8 }$ S•        Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
