* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program, @+ Q" x' ]* \" K. L. T& \! y
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities0 k; ^( L/ z* t( P( {
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes4 g9 S l7 A+ J
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
* r+ O- [0 z6 P6 B# z * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders: a: _% l0 H$ e. b# F
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
# m3 V& d9 C6 I3 C" X, Z3 U * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs8 P$ `; m8 a2 }# M
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
, N6 P2 x- f1 P* ]4 D * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
: s* z& n: x7 {' B- ] * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
5 K+ x5 ~1 I z * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
3 m* D! F6 r7 T/ l+ f; i7 p# U4 R4 W' T) c * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills& V2 Z. I1 t3 g' G
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
$ u7 I7 s N, n8 B, S% F# r * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
