- w7 u( z) C2 c* z: t8 ` * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program3 Z% p: n' s% q; ^; O) Q
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
; V9 G. ^: J- R l: R9 j * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
2 m/ k& d6 I e [) i9 q * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat' K4 V2 _- L7 E/ P- L# T
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders6 y4 r: e6 g# T
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
8 e2 ^" M7 p6 x9 S; W; v! @ * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs

* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies0 `, B e% n0 X; h" U, X

6 w4 h! q' a8 S1 h$ p * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred9 ^5 [* ?1 E9 R8 K2 i, s& o5 X
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
1 z0 g4 Y! v$ ]( h1 T * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset7 W" L$ D" S* I/ H& h& e2 Z
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies' |& \; e$ ?9 f% }2 m ^- r
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills

* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
