* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program! U% \* A2 V; e
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities& y2 n" q' ^& @9 @# P3 ]1 P/ E7 e
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
; h8 o* z& K# \& e0 _2 } * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat' O7 r' a! {1 \/ D, q
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders; F8 [1 z& a' y, e
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements

* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director

* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
/ T- e: Y8 {6 L% Q * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
+ l/ w( f: e# d( L. U9 a * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results! }: R0 x, l5 O t
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications5 W: d/ \: Q3 J( h- e8 F" Z
: X+ |. K8 _* l& \ * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred! Z) j: m8 e! S4 a/ G6 z- V8 ^) F
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth3 `4 H7 B9 i; D' p
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset7 H' {5 f! C. R0 z4 b1 g) P3 k
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies4 Y! O" |3 L, P% F0 D' k3 n, U
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills/ N, }! D% u: B- d8 ^
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
) ~" Y- c! a/ c- d+ f! M * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation) N# [/ {* H: h" T9 W
