To perform furniture assembly, reconfiguration tasks and functions pertaining to
all types of furniture systems while maintaining high standard of quality and

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

· Ensure customer’s furniture orders are installed and assembled accurately and
in a timely fashion.
· Loads furniture orders onto truck and delivers product to customer.
· Drives to customer location and complete furniture assembly/installation to
  V, k. ^- Z7 A- t9 a  Gmeet customer satisfaction. Inspects furniture for additional defects.
/ K9 C3 S6 `3 g6 a# w) R) P· Installs all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems. This
includes placement, leveling, wipe-down, and possible reconfigurations of metal
and wood furniture at customer location.
· Develops team skills in assisting with project management.
· Follows all safety procedures in the performance to job duties.

· Class 5 Drivers License with maximum 3 demerits
· Ability to read and construction blueprints and CAD installation drawings

Interior Designer

PURPOSE:

. d6 D0 L: R2 {# Q+ P. z# wResponsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and
specifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.
. C; b, p7 Y9 C" P0 rCoordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space
: W, ^& f, D3 x5 h/ Frequirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports
* f, O5 x! |% [0 n, h" G8 |to the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions
" I* V( O: C- C' }that do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

/ a2 b+ `8 I& K3 \9 V/ lESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may

1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
8 P& h( b) m6 s. Ifurniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to
measure layout.
: u5 [$ B' D5 Y$ ?; ]2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
+ p: K% Q7 q! m. D5 @product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
  f" i+ P6 K& m7 J. U8 _drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
: Q; n( C6 u) xspecification and installation.
3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these
9 L2 u1 Y# E/ V7 Oneeds.
0 T5 v9 `: N# k4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
9 X( R; l6 _& x# I5 p5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
. T9 a: U, f6 z! C; bplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
- c- |2 ^8 v5 |; k; a0 Vsite in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence
9 t) J9 X; X/ \1 T) U+ L4 P! ]checks.
6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
9 X2 e$ ^! p5 T3 yassures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
( q% D0 ~6 I$ r; M. S# Fand revisions.
8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
/ M! r% O& Z3 S6 J3 @inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
9 v, T5 h$ V/ ]9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.
11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review
meetings with the furniture management team.

management team, warehouse/delivery/install team and various architectural,

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

: k, Q4 Z$ m* J# ZBachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.
