PURPOSE:

Coordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space

to the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions

2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
- n& h( y( v" G7 U; pproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
' p0 E1 g) e# V1 S; r2 Edrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
# p1 `; [! O% w Yspecification and installation.3 D% }* j {' S/ V3 Q
3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
: G& {; w8 o' Mmeetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these
2 z! d6 x" \$ Lneeds.
( ^7 z$ ~, {6 [& c4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering6 G# o& K( ]' c5 x4 q! q7 c
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
5 y: p" W6 F; c* M7 [, V5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction2 w2 C: w, b W Q/ \7 ^: J8 T; d
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
/ v) D4 M' C2 S2 I& E$ w+ e3 r& tsite in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence. u* o- _& s8 D7 E7 A# Z# w* k

6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
0 W' g0 R Y& m6 V& Design (A&D) drawing sets.0 m% L1 F2 L, a4 @
7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,& ?; {- v" l+ f3 V7 X
assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes9 f, h8 V A4 l! K- r# C# y8 N ]4 _

8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job$ ?8 e2 Z4 W$ _ t
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
4 e: t* s/ Q7 b0 N/ U9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
* T* U2 t4 h6 r0 j10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.

4 e |: \1 M b8 REDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:, v) v! h( F" Z3 ?
/ j# h# _2 W& QBachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a% D" _, G# v2 i5 B
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and8 E6 W7 L' w( s6 J
experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
+ ~8 [! }% ?! v3 X" Q+ L% W9 gknowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.5 v# k# i% M& t3 }. d7 R

Experience with furniture design and specification software required.
