To perform furniture assembly, reconfiguration tasks and functions pertaining to

excellent customer satisfaction. Assists in training and provides work direction
to furniture installers/assemblers.

) |, }6 J+ ]) i, k' J& \· Ensure customer’s furniture orders are installed and assembled accurately and

1 R& S4 s* F( O. m· Loads furniture orders onto truck and delivers product to customer.
· Drives to customer location and complete furniture assembly/installation to
meet customer satisfaction. Inspects furniture for additional defects.
· Installs all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems. This
' g* _5 C/ A  x+ p, K* ^; P3 q% {, fincludes placement, leveling, wipe-down, and possible reconfigurations of metal

PURPOSE:

" [0 U" c7 t) A7 F4 E2 [Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and
  u" I7 ?8 L- G, ]specifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.
Coordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space
( F+ _; Q' e( y# v% K4 P6 q. V3 B' `requirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports
to the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions
. e/ `+ U; c1 b* ithat do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

3 D  x$ V; m) O6 R5 X* ~8 \4 \3 k- CESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may

+ \3 ]* M3 e3 u4 j+ g: Kfurniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to

2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
- n& h( y( v" G7 U; pproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
' p0 E1 g) e# V1 S; r2 Edrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
# p1 `; [! O% w  Yspecification and installation.
3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
: G& {; w8 o' Mmeetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these
2 z! d6 x" \$ Lneeds.
( ^7 z$ ~, {6 [& c4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
5 y: p" W6 F; c* M7 [, V5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
/ v) D4 M' C2 S2 I& E$ w+ e3 r& tsite in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence
checks.
6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
0 W' g0 R  Y& m6 V& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
and revisions.
8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
4 e: t* s/ Q7 b0 N/ U9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
* T* U2 t4 h6 r0 j10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.
7 E3 A/ S/ }6 J; m11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review
meetings with the furniture management team.

PRIMARY INTERACTIONS:

Daily interaction with client account base and prospects, furniture vendors,
9 E( A  C7 v; p! Hinterior design department employees, furniture personnel, sales team, order
management team, warehouse/delivery/install team and various architectural,
  C2 E; T/ W. l+ e# ?! n+ Vdesign, and construction representatives.

/ j# h# _2 W& QBachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
+ ~8 [! }% ?! v3 X" Q+ L% W9 gknowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.

Experience with furniture design and specification software required.
