to furniture installers/assemblers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

+ ], e' I. X4 L" d) A% }· Ensure customer’s furniture orders are installed and assembled accurately and
in a timely fashion.
· Loads furniture orders onto truck and delivers product to customer.
% A% G6 c* _, X0 W' z5 J· Drives to customer location and complete furniture assembly/installation to
( j  X& l, g. I0 L  pmeet customer satisfaction. Inspects furniture for additional defects.
6 x4 }  G" D( [+ I, @9 M$ O( c· Installs all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems. This
2 k& m+ `" q9 t% I" d7 q' iincludes placement, leveling, wipe-down, and possible reconfigurations of metal

POSITION:

Interior Designer

PURPOSE:
' a8 X9 ]5 }: |% R) h: t" p
Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and
specifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.
Coordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space
$ R) q& n  P" w) z) g  drequirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports
9 y8 ?3 @! n1 y& P" cto the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions
4 r2 y' z. l# ]0 v/ |that do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

( G  Q- o  O, p. e& AESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may
be assigned):

5 l- U7 K6 T! n  y1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
furniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to
' B1 Y& }( U, |8 Cmeasure layout.
3 z" G! d- q; Z  `$ U5 M, T2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
6 O+ _8 e+ b) g; ~8 b/ Tdrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
specification and installation.
3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
4 K. q. p% z) rmeetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these
& P& A9 |) |6 N8 I/ Eneeds.
- L# \* h+ y- t6 ?* F4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
$ ?  x& h( k* g0 N; ~site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence
checks.
6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
+ \2 J5 h! l0 `0 d1 _7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
: H) V8 a8 f, {- [+ P* |assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
and revisions.
# V. W8 R% `( s+ m* h" }8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
% i: U3 b; u" q' N' v9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
+ W* W7 v: O5 `5 M7 X; P, [5 @10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.
11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review
meetings with the furniture management team.

Daily interaction with client account base and prospects, furniture vendors,

management team, warehouse/delivery/install team and various architectural,
design, and construction representatives.

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a
! d4 H% m8 F. P4 Mrelated field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
$ R( [7 T. K# x* j/ nexperience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
. `* v5 f! M4 v/ z5 [knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.

Experience with furniture design and specification software required.
