Interior Designer

Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and

to the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions

measure layout.

product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built$ c6 B" t, z1 a' e3 q4 {5 O
drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for

6 K3 w7 _# ]6 ^* k3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning. j6 r' y! Z( _
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these. N# }4 u5 e9 T8 W# c8 O3 L

# q( M5 _: o% Y" I. `4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
) M" q6 o& z% O, M: z* broutine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
9 i' i; a6 W/ M7 ~# c$ i" o% A5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction- e$ c8 _" H/ @5 N0 R9 t
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
# b3 D3 \' _& osite in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence

6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect9 _. ^; K1 m& Q! }8 C

7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,5 z* j8 N5 f) Q$ ~# w. ?- L
assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes- B8 t G: W1 k

8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job4 |, @: w3 r; u+ l4 J
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.! D+ s* R; w. J/ C$ P$ H9 Y- ?
9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.+ _ g7 A5 {. j" @9 }8 d( r
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a+ f; f' H0 U7 X
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and, O( y0 d: S5 U4 H1 x% i; G
experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general* x' z" ^7 b) c3 \$ L
knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.. ~5 ~1 Y- r/ X( P3 A8 G8 j
