请给我的作文打分

About one year ago I met a girl in university, I slept with her after our first date, we really jumped the gun and had a good time as well. However, when I proposed to her, she said, "Hold your horses", it turned out she was married! Obviously, I would get burned if her husband knew about our affair, so I told her explicitly, "You can't be married and single, you can't have your cake and eat it, too!",  I was very upset, coz I was expecting a serious relationship, but she blew it! She had a family, she even had a son, she just cheated on me, that is way off base! After I broke up with her, I have to be back to square one and look for a new relationship.

mostly good, but I don't think the "get burned" and "blew it" is used properly here.
