Duties
' s; f% X7 y" B/ R) o4 M+ a- l5 IWorks within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele
8 h% N) p% d6 ?, EResponsible for specialization in workstation image management; m& _7 s, ~# {5 m
Responsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers
4 x5 ?: W' y; Z; EProvides help desk and on-call (after hours) support4 e* _) L \) m; G) i
Works within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff- i; [& q& X, Z1 [
Edits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System# F' g& k% L6 M# k P
Develops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP- g2 A' ]; p4 x; o- I; h% p
Develops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS

Qualifications9 N; ~- i' N: |# p2 K1 V# M
Two year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program
9 r( u/ ~$ C, K. D3 fRecent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
/ n) N0 b; r. Y- kMinimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations% H! l* l+ W3 j8 Z$ s, F
Experience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL), c b6 e/ ~. B4 \2 e5 c) o
Strong analytical, diagnostic, written and oral communication skills
