Duties
Works within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele
Responsible for specialization in workstation image management
& m9 O( o  M& k- ^5 eResponsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers
5 F* n6 n) Y9 M2 }2 xProvides help desk and on-call (after hours) support
Works within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff
7 S! h6 Y! K8 f8 N! u, oEdits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System
4 n0 z; c: _' @, r3 m3 NDevelops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP
, {4 F* e" W6 MDevelops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
5 ~6 B2 i+ V7 @! J( RDesigns, develops and implements MySQL relational databases
" F# d/ F; M! j% _3 {+ f% UQualifications
1 p8 l; _# P: Z6 tTwo year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program
- }& ]4 \. q3 [. bRecent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
Minimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations
Experience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)
