Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker 9 O. S: y" _: C0 H N# q; M3 L' S
(Full time: 35 hours per week)

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.7 c% T+ c, m M) w( |
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
& [" C( g# y& B# Q0 @' h& J. w- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team9 A1 Z- J% O* J$ y$ z7 j# m

Qualifications:, @) E% q5 P& y' B
- post secondary diploma
/ N5 s; y+ o1 |3 }! g5 J9 y: H- customer service and office clerical experiences
; [$ T# e8 b+ k, W) B* t v- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services; ^& R! Z! \' x( E6 h4 G( q. g" y
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services% y& h0 i' e9 ^7 l0 f' K
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies/ q( M, o+ A1 U. a/ U1 E
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members5 w+ I+ _( q; A$ O
- update ASSIST website
' c, c0 G* ]. e0 A5 y2 ^# r- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
% O9 ?; o8 c" f& V- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services3 N; p# k; _1 {( p8 v9 |$ Y$ j) \
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
- k2 @8 Z. Z3 I9 l* g- write quarterly and final reports for ISP6 c9 c$ r: L4 w( H: t1 Y
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
0 \# n' f. _8 D% N7 t( W- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education . h! K4 w/ e0 ]- ~1 ~& o5 O- L
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills% o6 a/ u2 Q/ D1 p! P
- experience in community work and immigrant services8 i5 `3 t# j$ e2 `8 l
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset! I/ A5 g; U3 m
