- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.2 a& u9 G3 D/ S8 i
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
. O% W; Z# a4 G- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team4 ^* l8 F7 d7 A1 O

+ o0 t/ r* b: J& V C. S) R0 A& i- post secondary diploma
* b: E4 m+ O E# V- customer service and office clerical experiences
1 p; O% Z+ P9 u. W+ w+ o3 O" E- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

8 l u+ |, Q$ X. G- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community7 p+ D' @ ]9 Y
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
* k% N" ^$ {3 m% t- F7 Z- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
4 C2 C h* l5 X) Y) f6 w8 U- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies' X+ q [, }% b
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
( l. O. {7 ^. F* w L0 W [! s. R- update ASSIST website
( A& t9 K! @/ G: @* M- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre9 C/ f g* A, M; l
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services6 o& e% F$ g$ |
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
: h( P7 v; ~8 A& {/ B- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
) \" |* M1 ^' [4 @- hold regular meetings with ISP team
$ k( t' I7 [' b% E- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
6 I2 ]6 E; ^3 ?7 R- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education 6 g) Q! ~: V' h
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills1 B& k3 P) y# \: c/ `
- experience in community work and immigrant services
5 ~8 H( G& W, Q. b8 \2 E- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
