ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
5 ?4 I1 P3 a, j4 Grecombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
9 D. X( G0 l1 ^& L) C) ?9 p- Xtechnology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
% C( r' l8 t/ k( Y( c* B5 y" z2 Oto apply for government funding with us.

, G  b1 y3 x. q. Q9 H2 y; V& jQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
" o7 x4 V& Q; [( t+ c6 L0 B3 Erelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
+ v- _$ J' a& s2 nrequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
' Y7 _# Z0 n9 x6 j" b/ t* eis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
