ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
, D7 P* ]9 A5 p" C# x7 S. b- I8 astrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

( j, ?+ z) r9 N- f$ q" kQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
4 v3 N; U/ D! k2 }. Ifrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
; T' s6 I" I+ q8 p: J. c: x' ^2 yrequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
9 e% S4 F: ?* r2 g9 Jcloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
2 Z5 P' ?" o7 h! x: Y+ Tover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
! ]& j! B, A0 E3 ~is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with

This position is conditional to a successful application of external

salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
