烤蛋糕

INGREDIENTS:# E- \& a) b# j, \; W! c. C$ e; e
•        1/2 cup butter
  P! z, o9 \) Q+ P% c, M•        1 cup sugar
. w# L# M$ e8 Z* s8 G  f1 @, r•        1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract( if you like the flavor)3 k7 U+ H' x% T: X, P/ R
•        1 1/2 cups sifted  flour ( if you don’t like the trouble, use all-purpose flour)! S# V) b) @: l4 ^
•        1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder * w8 s6 ~9 w$ U9 @: g6 X( \
•        4 eggs, well beaten
0 b9 J( \6 T8 y2 V# b3 TPREPARATION:; V( @9 M8 r  q& b; q! C- L. B
Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition.
' O+ w3 i% o' V6 d. t. B$ c$ c8 X" dTurn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. , Q% V; k( a/ G! \$ H) S
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

My opinion: ( Sorry . I typed in Chinese the first time, but lost it. No patience to type Chinese again—I am lousy in typing Chinese.)  a0 v6 @& B! B' y

2 e. f) b4 I/ |2 N5 aI normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe.. y8 d/ j; G5 Q0 L

For beating, you can buy a simple Hand Mixer for about $10. It can not only be used for making cakes but also bread, or mashed potatoes(土豆泥)ect.

检查蛋糕是否熟透的办法

牙签,插入蛋糕较厚处,取出,若没粘着什么sticky flour, 就好了。

你若喜欢烤面食的话,一定要有一套量器的。所有recipes 都是用cup, table spoon, tea spoon 做基本单位的。用量不一样,效果绝对不同。
