INGREDIENTS:

• 1 1/2 cups sifted flour ( if you don’t like the trouble, use all-purpose flour)+ D4 u' x' b* C, o0 q6 q
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition.
+ B% o/ a. A( n- {2 bTurn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
8 Y0 a% r8 x) D& oBake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.7 j$ p+ o4 z. m2 T

I normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe.
