First call for actors -- CSSA Evening Party for 2008 Chinese New Year

The Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University8 g3 B! S8 b4 @7 r
of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the9 `3 a: f- L# J$ b, m x
eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese
1 x& i: G) q. F9 R( x8 v o0 ~% H% x- D cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and w0 \: H: ~' ?. f0 e
customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on7 s% ~5 ~0 Q: p$ F' P) Z
this broad land.& A7 W9 V( }$ y
5 u# f+ A7 U$ A. z1 h* BWe encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to: f) ]# X9 h& R+ x7 u$ s/ m+ y
contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and
b: g6 a. j6 B8 m2 ^ v) z, D H talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in
1 \9 W0 E, I3 S, Z2 | performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show$ K4 k* W& s& a4 Y
ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
5 j) L9 }- i* Q. l x9 B) n* ~ Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a
5 R. [7 X e. [ lot of fun, like what we did before.2 g. _' |8 ~' Q' M7 P+ j# O
" f# K( G! t& PAs far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs0 c) o x) k! ~. r
sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),
) d0 X& l# I0 L stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any
6 x0 P" X# |6 @3 S2 U4 P performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your
7 i; d! C2 u. t7 ^8 }" i* k program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up
; M3 p. d/ S. ^8 f. U! d2 y comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since
- b5 R6 V6 \9 k( E( ~; b& j1 L( a CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.2 I- Q. ]. j1 T# i$ X- w& X

Meanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
2 t2 y9 e; P/ N) m! R on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system8 g$ h) d7 ^" g, |; l6 j0 p3 d+ H
