8 H4 `& x- l2 |" [0 pPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment, Immigration & Industry, the community development worker coordinates workshops seminars and activities. This individual reports to the ISP program manager and provides support to all members of the ISP team. # D; m# ^$ J; V6 v5 D+ T2 Y

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services4 q8 H( ^2 A; z: V* h
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
! M& [ f: d, }; D* [- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies A" f" u7 \/ n' b
- coordinate good will activities% R1 S- F' ~# T5 ~# w$ N% x
- coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

- update membership database

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education

- experience in community work and immigrant services
