Board

• is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals

• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends

External Relations
2 L1 Z6 w) j+ ] ]; x+ |1 @$ C" A) C• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
( L# n5 u/ l7 `' }* \• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders0 ]/ J6 _$ i: T& H5 H4 f9 C
• communicate the value of the organization to the public* D4 [8 j# r$ @: c0 \
• identify community needs and trends8 L* R& F# }6 f- V& i
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
1 k$ q, S4 N0 e& H7 `$ {• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups. b% R; W1 e$ q% `+ j# F; L/ }
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.- E: f# i* ~# H: z9 z
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff, K$ ^! ~7 y" i2 v
* `) \: \! L4 \; f0 HQualifications3 L$ S3 _" J9 }$ ^
- University degree in a related field; * @. N, ~0 k; F8 p
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
' Y w; C6 A6 |1 f7 w q4 w' A- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
7 i3 x( l3 i, F @1 Z/ q# Q F- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization % D" r$ C# |; e6 S- |. y" X9 _& u

Salary
8 P8 R8 b7 D7 E+ {$ b3 B1 X- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits ! H6 e! i" D# Z3 u4 b7 `7 Y
