Staff

• provide leadership to staff and volunteers

• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators X! \- u( Z7 s/ _
• provide opportunities for staff development and growth! K* h' C3 D& I
• meet with staff on regular basis8 c/ ^) h+ q# c; J
• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff) ~5 B- f9 K; B7 X

Programs/Services: t$ ^3 c& ^0 S
• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
6 H+ v; r7 v8 @• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
/ U# s7 B% o$ Z# J0 s1 X• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends
) m, v3 @$ y# ~9 }; X$ v; H• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends, d& y1 `. P) [0 Z
• conduct program evaluation/survey/research0 b/ X: t! o, p, M4 t
• maintenance of appropriate reporting

& t* \6 K5 m. B6 u% J• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• identify community needs and trends C/ K' g3 W3 n/ m3 r
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
/ `/ v, o! R1 T9 l& @• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups% y/ V) O% L1 D0 [
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

Qualifications& p# I. b3 G8 p6 I+ W$ L: D
- University degree in a related field; ! Z( n+ p$ O/ V/ `7 u; s
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;) V% A' E) B* R& p
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; ) p' n9 \) m9 Y! r9 V8 {/ \6 C
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization & ]" k6 Y8 G+ A7 @: J K' w
% E: O. I7 |, d% T2 M+ {' w% o- b
Salary
; }9 m2 u+ x& `3 l" r' j. Y) u- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
