The woman was driving a gravel truck two kilometres north of Westlock when it veered off the road. The truck rolled across Highway 44, trapping and crushing the woman in the cab.

Audrey Wiedrick, 57, from Westlock, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to RCMP. She was not wearing a seat belt.
5 w5 m2 x: f" [ SWiedrick worked for Alberta Highway Services and was hauling a water tank and asphalt packer when the accident occurred, said Jason Maloney, spokesman for the Alberta occupational health and safety office.; i. ^ V/ q: d2 H) q
1 _6 c7 ^& [4 ^5 `6 fIt is not known what caused the woman to drive the truck off the road. Occupational health and safety and the RCMP are investigating.

Maloney said they will look at the maintenance records of the truck and trailer, the hours the driver worked, and the weight of the units the truck was carrying. |
