. q* g7 S$ n9 s& u9 v; V) zEDMONTON - A woman was killed Monday when the truck she was driving turned over and crushed her beneath its roof.

The woman was driving a gravel truck two kilometres north of Westlock when it veered off the road. The truck rolled across Highway 44, trapping and crushing the woman in the cab.

/ c6 f. C* c3 }2 Q' V: KAudrey Wiedrick, 57, from Westlock, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to RCMP. She was not wearing a seat belt.
7 l$ e/ z$ S3 I5 eWiedrick worked for Alberta Highway Services and was hauling a water tank and asphalt packer when the accident occurred, said Jason Maloney, spokesman for the Alberta occupational health and safety office.

"The truck is considered a workplace, that was the driver's workplace," Maloney said, explaining why they are investigating.% v. L( A+ q* @0 r% B

Maloney said they will look at the maintenance records of the truck and trailer, the hours the driver worked, and the weight of the units the truck was carrying. |
