) h# A3 e! o. `$ z5 F% gEDMONTON - A woman was killed Monday when the truck she was driving turned over and crushed her beneath its roof.

The woman was driving a gravel truck two kilometres north of Westlock when it veered off the road. The truck rolled across Highway 44, trapping and crushing the woman in the cab.1 f* i" }/ B- K2 S9 m" B5 V( p' O
, ], \! t& w& x5 }5 @' NAudrey Wiedrick, 57, from Westlock, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to RCMP. She was not wearing a seat belt.
8 }) D: s) |# M: k K7 f" q6 rWiedrick worked for Alberta Highway Services and was hauling a water tank and asphalt packer when the accident occurred, said Jason Maloney, spokesman for the Alberta occupational health and safety office.( ?4 a: T) e* Y5 l0 C7 M+ @

"The truck is considered a workplace, that was the driver's workplace," Maloney said, explaining why they are investigating.+ q, X( R; V( y( n# |# G
3 s8 e3 m' V, @# l& R9 A8 k" lMaloney said they will look at the maintenance records of the truck and trailer, the hours the driver worked, and the weight of the units the truck was carrying. |
