, C, } E9 r- a3 X3 p5 W8 bEDMONTON - A woman was killed Monday when the truck she was driving turned over and crushed her beneath its roof.

The woman was driving a gravel truck two kilometres north of Westlock when it veered off the road. The truck rolled across Highway 44, trapping and crushing the woman in the cab.

1 a5 `* D! [4 I+ ?4 AAudrey Wiedrick, 57, from Westlock, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to RCMP. She was not wearing a seat belt.
: l# V/ b# f: ?5 vWiedrick worked for Alberta Highway Services and was hauling a water tank and asphalt packer when the accident occurred, said Jason Maloney, spokesman for the Alberta occupational health and safety office.# M' w# v/ T. t& V7 \9 ^$ ?

) \) l8 D% p0 N% c+ T3 q"The truck is considered a workplace, that was the driver's workplace," Maloney said, explaining why they are investigating.

Maloney said they will look at the maintenance records of the truck and trailer, the hours the driver worked, and the weight of the units the truck was carrying. |
